The Sage Gardens residents are very excited to find out that one of the residents will be featured on a TV show. How Much is it Worth? is filming an episode in one of the villas. The TV show reveals more than they bargained for and Samantha, Jo, Walt and Eddy are glued to the screen.

But their attention shifts when someone is murdered. The four retirees immediately go into investigative mode as they search to find the truth. Not only do they like to do a little sleuthing, but with Jo as one of the prime suspects they find that they have no choice if they want to help keep their friend out of jail. The four friends find themselves in a mountain of clutter, suspects and evidence as they dig through the clues to catch the killer. It is a race to find the murderer before everything comes crashing down around them.

Dog walker and pet sitter Nikki Green loves spending time with the pets of Dahlia. She can’t believe that she is lucky enough to do what she loves and earn money from it. She is enjoying her developing relationship with Detective Quinn Grant and his boisterous pooch, Spots and spending time with her best friend, Sonia Whitter and her cute Chihuahua, Princess. Nikki is looking forward to pet sitting a pair of gorgeous Afghan Hounds and a cheeky, stubborn and lovable Russian Blue cat.

But things are not a walk in the park when she discovers a dead body right next door to the house she is staying at. When the victim turns out to be the local and much hated gossip columnist, Gustav, the suspect list is long, and it is going to take a lot of digging to get to the truth. Nikki and Sonia enlist the help of their furry friends and try to speed the investigation along so that the murderer can be caught, and the streets of Dahlia can feel safe again.
