When Charlotte's friend, Jeff, is accussed of murder. Charlotte believes that he is innocent and enrolls the help of Ally to try and clear his name. Arnold, their lovable pot-bellied pig, and Peaches, their trusted cat, support them in their investigative endeavors.

Best friends Suzie and Mary are loving running Dune House, the majestic bed and breakfast on the beach. They are hosting two guests, a pet parrot, who are planning on building a resort on the beach in Garber which is met by very strong opposition from the locals. When a guest turns up dead, Suzie and Mary cannot help but investigate the murder.

Blue River is abuzz with excitement. A traveling acting troupe is putting on a play in the small town and a gorgeous, well-known actor is the main character. Charlotte and Ally Sweet are flat out making chocolates for the visiting crowds and actors. Then Charlotte gets roped into putting chocolate making on hold and she reluctantly agrees to act in the play.

But that turns out to be the least of Charlotte’s worries when someone ends up dead and her friend, Jeff, is implicated in the murder. Ally and Charlotte with the help of their pot-bellied pig, Arnold, and feline friend, Peaches, wade through a mountain of suspects to clear Jeff’s name and find the real culprit. But is Jeff really hiding something?

Suzie and Mary are excited to welcome a birdwatching group to Dune House, the majestic bed and breakfast on the beach. The guests are a colorful bunch and some of them have some unusual requests. They are hoping to sight a rare bird in the area. But tensions rise and tempers flare when they don’t see eye to eye with some surfers camping on the beach.

Then things go from bad to worse when someone lands up dead. With the suspect list getting longer, the police have their work cut out to find the murderer. Suzie and Mary, with a little help from their loveable Labrador, do some snooping to try and help the investigation along.
