It is almost Christmas and Cassie Alberta is enjoying the season. She is helping out at the Christmas fair and her ornery neighbor is joining her with her goats decked out as reindeer. But the fair ends with a bang when a dead body is found.

Cassie joins forces with her ex-cop, next door neighbor to try and find the murderer. But the path to the truth is a bit more complicated than they expected when they discover that the victim had a few secrets of her own.
